I’ve finally reviewed my POM Wonderful Pomegranate juice I got free vouchers from BzzAgent for:

My Review:
I told my fiancée about the POM Wonderful campaign I had signed up for, I didn’t really know much about it other than it was pomegranate juice and even though I’ve not had one in years, I remember liking pomegranates, so it sounded like a good idea to me.
I needed to go to a supermarket to use my vouchers to get my 4 free bottles of this wonderful new drink to try, luckily we were calling at Morrisons anyway on the way to see family (I say luckily as I don’t often go into a supermarket anymore, I order it all online as it’s so much easier and way less stressful).
I wasn’t sure what aisle to find POM in (having never heard of it before or knowing what kind of drink it was) but my fiancée cleverly figured it would be by the fresh orange juices in the fridge section and we easily found it there. I was shocked to see how cheap it was (£1.99) as the free voucher price was upto a £4 value, so I had expected it to be ridiculously expensive. This also made me realise the £1 off and bogof vouchers I also had been provided with to give out to family & friends were basically the same in value?!
So anyway, getting the drinks back they were still nice and cold so we opened a bottle and 1 bottle gave all 4 of us a glass each to go with our lunch. We all thought it was nice and refreshing; it was a bit strong so you wouldn’t want more than 1 glass but it’s not the type of drink you guzzle down. We all thought it would be nice to have with lemonade (or even a bit of water maybe) to make it last longer and so when we got home, me and my fiancee also tried it with Malibu which was really nice and went really well with it, we tried it with vodka too as that goes with anything but even though I don’t usually like Malibu, I really liked POM with Malibu and recommend you try it!
I had no idea it was intended as a breakfast drink until the campaign went live (which was after I’d tried it). The bottle doesn’t explain what it is and there was no info with the BzzKit at all, I wasn’t even certain if you were supposed to drink it straight or water it down, so luckily it seems you do drink it straight, so I’m ok!
Even though I was lucky to find the drink on my first go, my mum struggled to find POM Wonderful anywhere at first, she couldn’t find it at either Asda or Co-op, I said I’d found it at Morrisons and so she went there and did find it at last (just a note that we also live in different cities), I notice they also sell it on Ocado which is great as that’s where I do all my shopping, just a shame it means I can’t use the vouchers!
I must have found it when it was on offer as even though mine were of course free it was on sale for £1.99, my mum said when she got it, it was selling at £3.56, which to be honest I agree with her that it is a bit of a rip off, I’d buy it all the time at £1.99 to have as a morning wake-up drink as well as a mixer, but I would never pay £3.56 for this for the amount you get in the bottle, so looks like I’ll only be buying it when it’s on offer, though just looking at Ocado now it’s usually £3.56 but currently on offer at £2.84 which is still expensive so I’d still want to use a £1 off of bogof voucher on it if I could. It also makes me feel a little cheated I used my free drink vouchers when it was so cheap, if I knew I would have bought it anyway and saved the free vouchers for later!

I read an article recently that having a shot of Pomegranate juice to wash your dinner down with has recently been found to be good for you. I unfortunately can’t find the article again to explain the reasons but a quick google search does bring lots of positive health benefits of drinking pomegranate juice daily. So, here I am trying a shot of POM Wonderful pomegranate juice with my dinner:
(Don’t judge me, it was a lazy day and we hadn’t had cheese & beans on toast in ages, you can’t beat the classics :p )
I don’t think a shot is enough so I had another glass after that too ;p I’m not a morning person so I think POM with dinner is the way to go for me! 😀
